Learn: Find Out About Safe Gun Storage Laws In Your State
Know your facts! Although CAP (Child Access Prevention) laws have been shown to be effective at reducing suicides and unintentional firearm deaths and injuries of children, not all states have these laws. The Giffords Law Center To Prevent Gun Violence has current and easy-to-understand information on your state’s safe gun storage laws.
Take Action: Become a TALK Project Leader
The TALK Project teaches parents and caretakers how to help keep their children and their communities safe from gun violence with both printed materials and 30-minute workshops. Our workshops teach parents and caregivers, gun owners and non-gun owners, how to talk with their friends, neighbors, and family about guns and safe gun storage.
Want to help? You can become a TALK Project leader and teach others how safe storage can save young lives! We’ll train you to use role-play activities and scripts to help others feel comfortable talking about storing guns safely! Please contact us for more information.
